Over the past few days, we have filmed our practice music video and used Adobe Premier Pro to edit the clips together along with the music.
When we filmed the clips, we used a trolley to create a smooth tracking effect, however it was not completely smooth as the tripod was moving inside the trolley and the floor wasn't even on the whole filming route. After we had all the shots that we needed, we uploaded the videos onto the computer directly from the camera and imported the ones we needed into Premier Pro. We also added an mp3 file of the song to play over our clips. We didn't need any of the sound that was in the video so we turned off the audio so we couldn't hear any of the noises of the trolley, the music that we used as a guide for the lip-syncing and any other noises.
We are not particularly happy with how our practice music video has turned out because it is quite jumpy, due to having the tripod in the trolley. We also feel that we should have storyboarded in more detail and spent longer figuring out how we would set up the shots for the music video. However, we did only have a short amount of time to film in school, and needed to get it all done in one day so that we were wearing the same clothes. We feel that we will be able to learn from the mistakes we have made on our practice piece and make our real music video much better.
